Home Visits: Eye Care at Your Doorstep - Coming soon….

At visionwise. we understand that not everyone can easily make it to the clinic. Whether due to mobility issues, health conditions, age, or other challenges, some people may find travelling for an eye exam difficult or stressful. That’s why we will be offering home visits very soon, bringing professional eye care directly to you.

Home visits allow us to:

  • Conduct thorough eye exams in the comfort of your own home

  • Arrange glasses based on the prescription found during the eye test
with convenient delivery or drop-off once they are ready

  • Monitor and manage ongoing eye conditions without the strain of travel

  • Provide guidance on eye health and vision care in a familiar environment

  • Ensure everyone, no matter their circumstances, has access to quality eye care

By offering this service, we remove barriers to eye health, helping people maintain good vision, independence, and overall well-being—without leaving home.

Home Visit Eligibility

At visionwise, we want to make sure everyone who needs eye care can access it. Home visits are available for people who cannot easily leave their home. You may be eligible if you, or someone you know:

  • Have a condition that prevents leaving the home unaccompanied due to poor health

  • Live with a diagnosed mental health condition that makes it unsafe to leave home without assistance

  • Are housebound or bedbound due to a physical disability

What do we mean by a physical or mental illness?

Many different conditions can make it difficult to leave home without help. To determine if you meet the criteria, it’s best to speak with us directly. To give you an idea, examples may include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Cognitive impairment or dementia

  • Severe arthritis or other mobility-limiting conditions

  • A diagnosed mental health condition

  • Conditions affecting short-term memory

  • Illnesses requiring constant medication or equipment (e.g., oxygen)

  • Temporary medical conditions preventing safe travel (e.g., vertigo)

  • Any situation where a medical professional has advised you not to leave home unaccompanied

We assess each situation individually, so please get in touch to discuss your circumstances. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can access the eye care they need—safely and conveniently at home.
